The Dragonborn comes

I’ve been playing a lot of Skyrim recently and I’ve really enjoyed it. In an unusual state of affairs I find myself liking the theme tune a lot too, rather than something to be skipped through as quickly as possible I quite often leave it playing for a little while.  It conveys quite an adrenalin pumping message. In stark contrast to this video I found of a Spanish girl singing one of the Bard songs from the game followed by part of the theme song. She sings it beautifully and its quite haunting. Anyway, enjoy!

You can find her web site here.

She sings”The Dragonborn Comes” first, here are the lyrics

The Dragonborn Comes

Our hero, our hero, claims a warrior’s heart.
I tell you, I tell you, the Dragonborn comes.
With a Voice wielding power of the ancient Nord art.
Believe, believe, the Dragonborn comes.
It’s an end to the evil, of all Skyrim’s foes.
Beware, beware, the Dragonborn comes.
For the darkness has passed, and the legend yet grows.
You’ll know, You’ll know the Dragonborn’s come.

This is then followed with:

Dovahkiin Dovahkiin
Naal ok zin los vahriin
wah dein vokul mahfaeraak ahst vaal
ahrk fin norok paal graan
fod nust hon zindro zaan
Dovahkiin fah hin kogaan mu draal

Which translates too:

Dragonborn Dragonborn
by his honour is sworn
to keep evil forever at bay
and the fiercest foes rout
when they hear triumph’s shout
